Job summary

DJ&A is seeking a Transportation Design Engineer at an entry to mid-level to join our Albuquerque, NM team. The engineer will support road, highway, and trail design for municipal, state, and federal projects and work within multidisciplinary teams to deliver infrastructure developments across the western U.S.

The role requires 1–10 years of relevant experience; EIT is preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or OpenRoads and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• : Requires knowledge of road/highway design standards and procedures.
• : Relevant experience in transportation design acceptable in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Support transportation engineering designs for Local, State, and Federal agencies.
• Provide support for construction administration, in-office and on-site.
• Participate in design and delivery of roadway infrastructure projects of varying size and complexity.
• Work on multidisciplinary teams in support and lead roles.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation ORD to support design tasks.
• Prepare project deliverables: quantities, estimates, specs, and schedules.
• Perform QA/QC to ensure code and design standard compliance.
