Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 0–1 years of relevant post-education experience.
• Engineer in Training Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others.
• Self-starter with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
• Desire to learn and develop skill set.
• Ability to work independently under general supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Uphold workplace safety and adhere to company policies.

Aufgaben

• Assist and support design teams in the execution of project delivery.
• Provide technical input during various stages of projects, including preliminary design, final design, construction and contract documentation including cost estimates and specifications.
• Perform basic design tasks and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) to develop conceptual transportation projects in AutoCAD Civil 3D, OpenRoads.
• Perform standard computations and analysis.
• Discuss and propose solutions to technical issues.
• Collect data and gather information or documents.
• Bring fresh ideas and innovative ways to solve problems.
• Attend design meetings and coordinate with team members.
• Develop memorandums and other written technical documents.
• Maintain positive team relationships and contribute to a collaborative culture.
• Assist and coordinate with key staff across disciplines (i.e. drainage, structures).
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct.
