Job summary

RS H is seeking an experienced Transportation Deputy Project Manager to support the delivery of transportation and infrastructure projects. The role will ideally sit in one of our Carolinas offices (Charlotte, Raleigh, Asheville, Columbia) or in select other regions.

You will partner with the Project Manager to plan, execute, coordinate, and monitor projects including highways, bridges, and other public infrastructure. Strong leadership, technical knowledge, and delivery focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in transportation, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects.
• Experience supporting project schedules, budgets, cost estimates, and technical deliverables.
• Strong understanding of transportation design and construction practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing project scope, schedules, budgets, and milestones throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support project execution from planning and design through construction and closeout.
• Coordinate project activities to ensure timely and successful delivery.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including roadway, bridge, traffic, environmental, and construction professionals.
• Facilitate communication among internal teams, consultants, contractors, and clients.
• Support resource planning and workload management.
• Develop internal and external meeting agendas, presentations, and summaries.
• Track deliverables and action items.
• Monitor project budgets, forecasts, schedules, and key performance indicators.
• Review project reports, invoices, and cost tracking information.
• Support contract administration.
