Job summary

RS&H, Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Transportation Deputy Project Manager to lead complex transportation and infrastructure programs.

The role supports project planning, scheduling, budgeting, compliance, and client engagement across highways, bridges, and public works. You will coordinate teams, manage interfaces with agencies and stakeholders, and help deliver high-quality outcomes on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in civil/transportation/construction management or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in transportation, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to coordinate multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project delivery including scope, schedules, budgets, and milestones.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (roadway, bridge, traffic, environmental, construction).
• Support client meetings, project reviews, and responses to client inquiries.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, schedules, and KPIs; review invoices and cost tracking.
• Identify risks and assist in mitigation; ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
