Job summary

RS&H in Charlotte, NC seeks a Transportation Deputy Project Manager to support delivery of highways, roadways, bridges, and public infrastructure. You will partner with the Project Manager to plan, execute and close out projects while coordinating internal teams and external stakeholders.

The role requires collaboration, strong technical knowledge, and a passion for delivering high‑quality infrastructure solutions. This is an on‑site position based in Charlotte with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Transportation Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Experience in transportation and infrastructure project delivery.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing project scope, schedules, budgets and milestones.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across roadway, bridge, traffic, environmental and construction.
• Facilitate communication among teams, consultants, contractors and clients.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, schedules and KPIs; support contract administration.
• Identify risks and aid in mitigation; ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
• Support day-to-day operations and act as project lead when required.
