Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transportation Data Steward to lead data definition, stewardship, and governance across the Transportation Business Group. Embedded in business leadership, you’ll define how data is used, shared, and reused to enable better decision making on projects.

This leadership role focuses on coordinating subject matter experts, driving adoption of data standards, and aligning data strategies with HDR’s analytics and AI initiatives. In-office role across HDR offices in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, data science, business, computer science, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the Resources engineering industry.
• Ability to lead teams and work with executives.
• Strong communication and collaboration with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Establish SME network across the Transportation BG to define technical standards.
• Develop business-aligned data definitions for key engineering and technical terms.
• Promote consistent, responsible use of technical data and governance.
• Coordinate with the Technology Director to align data workflows and initiatives.
• Lead change management to drive adoption of data standards across the BG.
• Regularly communicate with other Data Stewards and Enterprise teams.
• Ensure new tools align to HDR's data strategy.
