Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transportation Data Steward to define how data is defined, shared, and reused across the Transportation Business Group. This is a leadership role, embedded in the Transportation BG, not an IT function, and focuses on enabling better decisions and project delivery.

You will coordinate SMEs and technical authorities, establish data standards and terminology, promote governance, and drive adoption of data practices that unlock reuse, analytics, and AI across HDR projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and 10+ years in resources engineering or data-centric roles.
• Experience leading diverse teams and implementing change management.
• Ability to work with leaders, operations managers, and technical directors.
• Commitment to HDR values and employee ownership.

Responsibilities

• Define technical standards for the Transportation BG and coordinate SME alignment.
• Develop business-aligned data definitions supporting models, reporting, automation, and AI.
• Promote data governance and responsible data use across the BG.
• Lead change management to drive adoption of data standards and tools.
• Communicate with Data Stewards, Enterprise Data Science Teams, and Data Operations.
