Job summary

HDR Transportation is seeking a Transportation Data Steward who will define how data is defined, shared, and reused across HDR’s Transportation BG. This leadership role focuses on enabling project delivery through data governance, standards, and collaboration with experts and technical authorities.

The ideal candidate has a strong track record in strategic data leadership, change management, and cross-functional influence, with a deep commitment to HDR’s employee-owned culture and long-term data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of strategic leadership experience.
• Minimum 15 years of overall data-centric solutions and services experience.
• Ability to work with senior leaders, operations and marketing managers.
• Committed to HDR values and employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Define data standards and coordinate SME experts across the Transportation BG.
• Develop business-aligned data definitions supporting reporting, automation, and AI.
• Build consensus on data processes, priority, and use across domains.
• Promote data governance and responsible data usage across HDR projects.
• Partner with Transportation Technology Director to align data workflows with strategy.
• Lead change management to drive adoption of data standards and tools.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Data teams and Data Operations staff.
• Ensure new data tools align with overall data strategy.
