Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transportation Data Steward embedded in the Transportation Business Group to define how data is captured, defined, and reused across projects. This leadership role coordinates SMEs and technical authorities to enable consistent data practices.

You will drive data definitions, governance, and reuse to support analytics, AI, and improved project delivery, working across HDR offices in the United States.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the Resources engineering industry.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• Strong leadership and data stewardship background.

Responsibilities

• Establish and coordinate SME network across Transportation BG to define technical standards and ensure alignment to data practices.
• Develop and maintain business-aligned data definitions supporting structured data models, reporting, automation, and AI use cases.
• Use network to build alignment around data processes, priority, and expected use.
• Promote consistent, responsible use of technical data including access and data quality.
• Govern externally sourced datasets (access, approvals, inventory, storage, lifecycle).
• Promote data fluency across the Transportation BG.
• Coordinate with Technology Director to align data workflows with Transportation BG Strategy.
• Lead change management to drive adoption of data standards, practices, and tools.
• Regularly communicate with other Data Stewards and Enterprise Data teams.
• Ensure new tools align to data strategy across the BG.
