Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transportation Data Steward to lead data definitions, governance, and reuse across its Transportation Business Group. This in-office leadership role focuses on enabling project delivery by coordinating subject matter experts and technical authorities within each domain.

Ideal candidates will shape how data is defined and used to enable better decisions, data reuse, and consistent analytics across HDR’s transportation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, data science, business, computer science, or related discipline or equivalent related experience.
• Ten years of strategic leadership experience focused on growing, developing and leading teams in change management and working with data.

Responsibilities

• Define and coordinate a network of SMEs across the Transportation Business Group to set technical standards and align with enterprise data practices.
• Develop and maintain business-aligned data definitions for key terms to support data models and reporting.
• Build alignment around data processes, priority, and expected uses through your technical network.
• Promote responsible use of data including access, quality, format, and reuse.
• Lead governance for externally sourced datasets and ensure lifecycle considerations.
