Job summary

HDR, a leader in engineering and technology services, seeks a Transportation Data Steward to shape data definitions, reuse, and governance across the Transportation Business Group. This embedded leadership role focuses on enabling consistent data practices without owning every discipline’s domain.

You will coordinate SMEs, define standards, and drive adoption of data definitions across projects, teams, and time, empowering better decision making and delivery excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in data leadership.
• Experience leading data governance and data strategy across a large organization.

Responsibilities

• Establish and coordinate a network of SME expertise across the Transportation BG.
• Define business-aligned data definitions for key engineering terms.
• Promote data fluency and adopt data standards across the group.
• Lead change management to drive adoption of data standards and tools.
• Collaborate with Technology Director to align data workflows.
• Communicate with Enterprise Data teams and data operations.
