• Perform transportation activities relating to inbound and outbound routings for domestic and international shipments.
• Create export documents including commercial invoices, shipper’s letters of instruction, carrier waybills, and shipper’s export declarations.
• Deliver information to import brokers, monitor post-clearance activity, and resolve import issues.
• Report mandatory export data to government agencies.
• Research and assist sales groups with pre- and post-shipment support.
• Screen transactions for export-license determination.
• Identify operational opportunities and implement solutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Perform transportation activities relating to inbound and outbound routings for domestic and international shipments
• Create export documents including commercial invoices, shipper’s letters of instruction, carrier waybills, and shipper’s export declarations
• Deliver information to import brokers, monitor post-clearance activity, and resolve import issues
• Report mandatory export data to government agencies
• Research and assist sales groups with pre- and post-shipment support
• Create documentation for domestic and international shipments
• Screen transactions for export-license determination
• Catalogue department records and maintain files according to record-retention policy
• Identify and support process and procedure improvements using key performance metrics
• Work with carriers to achieve and maintain pricing and service levels
• Provide customer service through tracking, tracing, routing, supply-chain model creation, and carrier management
• Negotiate rates and follow up on audits for accuracy
• Identify operational opportunities and create and implement solutions
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Typically requires a minimum of two years of related experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic understanding of transportation operations and world geography
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to establish priorities and manage time to complete work
• Collaboration with other departments or teams may be required
• Position may require travel
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), due to ITAR product access
