Responsibilities

• Coordinate and handle a variety of transportation activities.
• Supervise day-to-day transportation operations.
• Act as a liaison for Transportation, Operations, carriers, vendors and customers.
• Lead and supervise transportation staff, including training and evaluating employee performance.
• Recommend or initiate hiring, promotions, transfers or disciplinary actions.
• Perform routing, planning, updating and/or tracking of orders and shipments.
• Analyze and resolve carrier performance and compliance issues.
• Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time, accurate and satisfactory deliveries.
• Provide shipment updates as needed.
• Investigate and resolve issues submitted by customers, carriers and/or clients.
• Provide follow-up and reporting as required.
• Maintain and generate required reports.
• Process, audit and file documentation

Job description

Requirements

• 2 years of transportation or supply chain experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Windows applications
• Ability to create complex formulas in Excel
• Ability to lift objects up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to reach above the head, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
• Ability to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
• Ability to work rotating days, 6:00pm–6:00am, 4 days on and 4 days off
• Selected candidate must work days for a period of time before permanently moving to night shift
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test if required after a conditional offer
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills with experience supervising, coaching and influencing employees preferred
