Job description

Hill International is seeking a Transportation Construction Inspection Supervisor in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing and supervising daily inspection of construction work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
2. Proactively alerting project management professionals to issues in the field and providing solutions.
3. Observing field work to ensure workmanship and materials meet standards.
4. Documenting daily inspection reports and other related reports.
5. Assisting in the management of CM/CI projects.
6. Managing a pool of inspectors, reviewing timesheets and expense reports.
7. Monitoring project budgets and preparing supplements as needed.
8. Assisting in the preparation of proposals and statements of interest.
9. Attending field meetings, training, and social events outside working hours.
10. Providing technical support to inspectors and monitoring their certifications.
11. Interacting with client representatives.

Minimum qualifications:

1. At least six (6) years of transportation, highway, or bridge construction inspection experience, with NICET Level IV Certification in Highway Construction or equivalent certifications, including PennDOT Concrete Technician or NECEPT Field Technician Certification.
2. Active Professional Engineer's License.
