Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector for its Boise, Idaho Transportation team. The role focuses on on-site inspection, documentation, and QA/QC to ensure work aligns with plans and specifications.

Applicants should have strong knowledge of construction practices, basic Excel skills, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with Contractors, Owners, and project staff. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction practices and equipment.
• Proficient with Word and Excel.
• Ability to work with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Capable of multitasking and tracking issues to completion.
• 2+ years of roadway/bridge inspection preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, perform, and monitor construction work activities in field or office.
• Inspect and ensure conformance with plans and specs.
• Maintain daily records (IDRs).
• Identify contract changes and assist in change orders.
• Communicate with Contractors, Owners, and staff.
• Prepare field note records (FNRs) and progress payments.
• Coordinate materials sampling and testing.
