Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking a Construction Technician 3 in Boise, Idaho to inspect road, grading, and bridge projects and ensure compliance with contract plans and specifications. You will interpret plans for contractors, maintain inspection records, and travel to project sites as needed.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of roadway practices, ability to work independently, a clean driving record, and ITD IQP qualifications or willingness to obtain them, with generous benefits and annual bonus

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of practices and equipment on construction projects, especially roadway grading, paving and bridge operations.
• Strong ability to work independently and take initiative.
• A clean driving record.
• Idaho ITD IQP qualifications or willingness to obtain them preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, observe, and ensure projects (road, mass grading, excavation, bridges) meet contract plans and specs.
• Interpret plans and specifications for contractors and clients.
• Prepare and maintain records of plans, inspections, letters, and reports for roadways and bridges.
• Identify contract changes and assist in preparation of change orders.
• Travel to project sites as required.
