Job summary

Kleinfelder in Boston, MA is seeking a Transportation Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead innovative roadway design projects for state agencies and large municipalities in New England.

You will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to deliver multi-disciplinary roadway design tasks from concept to construction, coordinating with engineers, architects, and traffic professionals.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• 10+ years designing roadways and producing construction documents.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience with MassDOT/NHDOT/MaineDOT design guidelines.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, InRoads/OpenRoads, and AutoTURN.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage roadway design projects with multimodal facilities and transit upgrades.
• Prepare and submit packages to clients, bid estimates, permits.
• Produce detailed designs, cost estimates, schedules, ensuring QA and risk management.
• Provide technical expertise from concept to final design and construction support.
• Coordinate with architects, geotechnical, survey, and traffic professionals.
• Develop construction documents and bid packages.
• Mentor project team and provide guidance.
