Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
4-8 years' experience in roadway design and construction document preparation.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one.
Experience with MassDOT/NHDOT/MaineDOT design guidelines and standards.
AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation - InRoads/OpenRoads, AutoTURN.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency in 3D roadway models, alignments, corridors, and related design elements.

Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise on roadway design from concept to final design.
Provide construction-phase services beyond final design.
Coordinate with architects, bridge, environmental, geotechnical, survey, and traffic teams to deliver multi-disciplinary outputs.
Assist project managers in roadway design, utility coordination, construction documents, and support services.
Prepare detailed civil design plans, specifications, cost estimates, and bid packages.
Work with project managers to ensure specifications, reports and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost and quality.
