Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a Transportation Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead multi‑disciplinary roadway design projects in New England. The role involves coordinating civil engineers, planners, and inspectors to deliver high‑quality construction documents and analyses.

The position requires a BS in Civil Engineering, 10+ years of roadway design experience, and a PE license. Experience with MassDOT/NHDOT/MaineDOT guidelines and AutoCAD/Civil 3D is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years' experience in design and preparation of road construction documents.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Experience with MassDOT/NHDOT/MaineDOT design guidelines and standards.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, InRoads/OpenRoads, AutoTURN.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
• Proficiency in 3D roadway models, alignments, cross sections, and quantity takeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage roadway design projects including multimodal facilities and urban street designs.
• Prepare submissions to clients including bidding, zoning, permitting, and construction phase documents.
• Provide technical guidance, ensure quality control and risk management, and drive project value.
• Develop detailed civil designs, cost estimates, and bid packages.
• Mentor team members and coordinate with architects, environmental, geotechnical, survey, and traffic professionals.
