Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Intern for the Transportation sector during the 2027 Summer season in Mankato, MN. The internship offers exposure to roadway design, traffic counting, plan production, and site observations within a reputable firm.

As an intern, you will assist on civil projects, prepare reports and cost estimates, and gain hands-on experience in design calculations and reviews, with travel reimbursement and field opportunities as workload allows.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Civil Engineering degree program or closely related program from an accredited post-secondary institution.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8; desired 3.2 or above.
• Sophomore or above with completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own transportation or access to public transport; travel reimbursed.

Responsibilities

• Assist on civil engineering projects with tasks involving civil engineering, planning and design.
• Assist with reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Assist with construction observation, staking, and construction administration duties.
