Job summary

Garg Consulting Services, Inc. in Woodbridge, NJ, seeks a Civil Engineer (Transportation/Rail/Bridge) to support planning, design, and construction of complex transportation infrastructure. The role covers roadways, rail, tunnels, and bridges with hands-on responsibility.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of experience, an EIT, and familiarity with NJDOT, AASHTO, FRA standards, plus AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency; PE is preferred. On-site collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is essential.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil engineering degree.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
• PE license preferred.
• 5–8 years of transportation/rail/bridge experience.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, and construction of transportation projects (rail, tunnel, bridge).
• Prepare and review design documents, calculations, and reports per NJDOT/AASHTO/FRA standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on large infrastructure programs from design to construction.
• Provide field support, RFIs, shop drawing reviews, and contractor coordination.
• Assist with schedules, budgets, and QA/QC across projects.
