Job summary

Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, LLC (ICE) seeks Engineering Technicians/Construction Inspectors for Division 5 coverage across Raleigh and surrounding areas. Ideal candidates hold NCDOT certifications and experience in CEI services, ready to contribute to transportation projects.

Roles include daily site observation, material testing, plan verification, and reporting. Requires HS diploma, engineering tech degree preference, and OSHA 10 within 2 weeks.

Qualifications

Requires strong math and problem-solving skills.
Must communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
Legal to work in the U.S.; valid driver’s license required.
Pre-employment screening is required; drug-free workplace.
Experience with NCDOT projects and roadway/bridge inspection preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide daily observation of construction activities and document reports.
Review materials for contract and specification compliance.
Inspect roadways and structures for plan conformance.
Evaluate materials and foundation/structural aspects.
Monitor placement of pilings, reinforcing, and backfill.
Verify lines, grades, and elevations with field equipment.
Perform calculations and testing of materials.
Review submittals for conformance to docs.
Report non-compliance and safety violations.
Record Daily Work Reports with quantities and activities.
