Job summary

Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering (ICE) is seeking Transportation Technicians (I-V) for Division 8 in Sanford, NC, with CEI responsibilities across multiple sites. Roles require NCDOT certifications and experience in construction inspection services.

Qualifications

• Above average math and problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily observation of construction activities and document on reports/forms.
• Review materials for contract and specification compliance.
• Inspect roadways and structures for conformance to plans.
• Evaluate structural materials and foundations; monitor pilings and reinforcement.
• Record measurements and elevations using survey equipment.
• Perform calculations and computations accurately.
• Sample and test construction materials per project specs.
• Review contractor submittals for conformance to documents.
• Report any non-compliance or safety violations to supervisor.
• Record Daily Work Reports with quantities and activity descriptions.
