Job summary
Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, LLC (ICE) seeks Engineering Technicians/Construction Inspectors for CEI roles across multiple NC sites including Charlotte and surrounding areas. Candidates should hold NCDOT certifications and have CEI experience to support transportation projects.
The positions require daily field observations, material reviews, and inspection of roads and structures to ensure plans and specs are met.
Qualifications
- HS diploma or equivalent required.
- Roadway/bridge inspection experience preferred.
- Experience working on NCDOT projects preferred.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily observation of construction activities and document on required reports/forms.
- Review materials for contract and specification compliance.
- Inspect roadways and structures for conformance to plans and specs.
- Evaluate structural materials and foundation-related activities.
- Monitor placement of pilings, reinforcing, and concrete work.
- Verify lines, grades, dimensions, and elevations with field equipment.
- Perform accurate calculations and computations.
- Sample and test construction materials for quality compliance.
- Review contractor submittals for conformance to documents.
- Record daily work reports with quantities and descriptions.
