ATCS is expanding its Construction Services group in North Carolina and seeks motivated Construction Inspectors to support transportation projects statewide. We value 1–2 years of inspection experience and knowledge of NCDOT practices. Certifications are preferred but training is available for the right candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and tablets.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs and documents.
• Math skills in algebra, geometry and trigonometry.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contractor operations for quality control and compliance with plans, specs and standards.
• Inspect roadway, bridge and utility construction activities for contract compliance.
• Review and enforce construction plans and documents.
• Prepare daily reports, measurement data, and inspection records.
• Compute daily pay quantities and assist field estimates.
• Communicate issues and schedule concerns to project management.
• Conduct materials testing and sampling per NCDOT requirements.
• Verify compliance with work zone traffic control and environmental permits.
• Coordinate with contractors and project teams to ensure project delivery.
