Aldridge Electric in Washington, DC area seeks a Business Development Manager to join our Transportation team. You will develop and implement the BD strategy, build and maintain relationships with utilities and contractors, and identify opportunities to grow project pipelines.

The role requires travel, a strong seller mindset, and a track record of expanding relationships across the infrastructure market. You will lead a team and utilize Aldridge’s resources to win work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years in transportation space with utility, supplier, construction or engineering firm.
• Ability to travel regularly.
• Established network with contractors, utilities, engineering firms, developers, and supply chain.
• Strong seller aptitude and ability to present creative solutions.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the business development strategy to meet objectives.
• Build and maintain effective client relationships that lead to projects.
• Identify pursuits and position Aldridge for success against competition.
• Lead a team of operational seller/doers to execute the business development plan.
• Research market trends and shifts in funding, technologies, and scopes of work.
