Transportation Assistant acts as primary contact to Veterans for transportation needs with the Veteran Transportation Service (VTS) Supervisory Mobility Manager for transportation workload forecasting - scheduling design - procedure development - and quality improvement implementation - modification of processes - evaluation - and ongoing operational flow of the Veteran Transportation Service (VTS) program. These positions are located at the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System in Cleveland - OH.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-05) in the Federal Service - that is directly related to the work of the position and has equipped you with the particular knowledge - skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties as a Transportation Assistant for the GS-6 level. Qualifying specialized experience includes performing transportation support duties such as coordinating connections/scheduling - documenting travel information; collecting - compiling - and tracking data on a daily basis; performing a basic analysis of data and generating a variety of reports; entering data into automated tracking databases; and planning and directing a program that provides support services. NOTE: One (1) full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities.
