Job summary

TCI Transportation is seeking an experienced Reefer / Transport Refrigeration Technician in Converse, Texas. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems on trailers, with a focus on Thermo King and Carrier Transicold equipment.

The role requires 2–4 years of mechanical or refrigeration experience, EPA 608 certification, and a valid CDL with air-brake, or willingness to obtain them. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years mechanical or refrigeration experience.
• EPA 608 certification required and current.
• Experience with transport refrigeration systems (Thermo King/Carrier) desirable.
• CDL with air brake qualifications preferred or willing to obtain it.
• Proficiency with common office software to document repairs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair transport refrigeration systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on refrigerated trailers and units.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues.
• Repair and overhaul refrigeration components as needed.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify problems and record repairs.
• Maintain accurate service records.
• Follow safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with team to ensure quality repairs and customer satisfaction.
