Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Refrigeration Technician in Houston, TX to diagnose, overhaul, adjust, and repair all series of motor truck and trailer refrigeration equipment. The role focuses on reefer units on commercial trucks and trailers.

The position requires 3+ years of experience with Thermo King/Carrier reefer units, 608 certification, and the ability to move and lift up to 100 lbs. Travel and a flexible 4–5 day schedule are expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working on Thermo King or Carrier reefer units.
• Must have 608 certification.
• Must own your own tools and be able to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and rebuild components on truck and trailer reefer units.
• Maintain refrigeration units on trucks/trailers using scanners and onboard computers.
• Perform preventive maintenance and component replacement on refrigeration equipment.
• Repair failures, test for Freon leaks, and install parts and systems for refrigeration units.
