TCI Transportation's Liberty Hill, TX facility is seeking a Reefer Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain transport refrigeration systems on our fleet. You will perform preventative maintenance on refrigerated trailers and units and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues.

We require 2–4 years of mechanical or refrigeration experience, EPA 608 certification, and familiarity with Thermo King or Carrier Transicold.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of mechanical or refrigeration experience.
• Experience with transport refrigeration systems (Thermo King / Carrier Transicold) preferred.
• EPA Section 608 certification required and must remain current.
• Able to use industry tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document repairs.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational training helpful.
• CDL with air brake qualifications preferred, or willingness to obtain.
• ASE certifications a plus.

WHAT WE OFFER

Pay: $32.00–$37.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair transport refrigeration systems.

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on refrigerated trailers and refrigeration units.

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration system issues.

Repair and overhaul refrigeration components as needed.

Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve problems.

Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.

Follow safety procedures and applicable environmental regulations.

Work alongside a team committed to quality repairs and customer satisfaction.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

2–4 years of mechanical or refrigeration experience, with 3+ years preferred.

Experience with transport refrigeration systems, including Thermo King or Carrier Transicold, highly desirable.

Experience diagnosing and repairing refrigeration components.

EPA Section 608 certification required and must remain current.

Ability to use industry tools and diagnostic equipment.

Basic computer skills and ability to document repairs.

Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Vocational or technical training preferred.

ASE certifications a plus.

CDL with air brake qualifications preferred, or willingness to obtain one.
