The successful candidate for the activities position will be energetic, passionate, and creative. This job involves working directly with our residents, so you must be gentle, responsible, and hardworking. Must be comfortable with confused people and willing to find fulfillment in small ways.

Purpose/Belief Statement

The Activities Assistant provides individualized activity care and services for residents. This role functions as both a team member within the activities department and an interdisciplinary team member for an assigned unit(s), fostering team success.

Qualifications, Knowledge/Skills & Abilities

• High school diploma or GED
• Prior work/life experiences, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Experience with related software applications
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary
• Ability to tactfully interact with team members, staff, residents, family, visitors, government agencies, and the public
• Ability to plan, organize, and conduct activities
• Willingness to seek out and incorporate new methods and principles into activities practices
• Basic computer literacy
• Active state driver's license
• Possession of a CDL license may be required to drive a vehicle seating 16 or more passengers
