- Assist in planning and implementing resident programs.
- Chaperone resident outings and suggest participation appropriateness.
- Conduct programs including socials, games, and entertainment.
Skills
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with team members, residents, family members, visitors and the general public.
- Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle some challenging situations.
- Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating programs.
- Work closely with team members to support resident programs.
- Chaperone resident outings and make suggestions for appropriateness for participation.
- Ability to assess emergency situations.
- Responsible for conducting programs, including socials, movies, entertainment, games, (i.e. card games, board games, spiritual, lectures, discussions, sensory groups, etc. as appropriate.
- Support programs with audio-visual technical needs.
- Performs administrative requirements, making posters and signs for upcoming events, copying, stuffing mailboxes or placing flyers on resident doors.
- Responsible for handing out appropriate calendars to AL, MC & IL residents monthly.
- Share responsibility for interviewing residents to obtain past and present likes, interests and recreation information.
- Assume responsibility and accountability for group activities daily.
- Completes all assignments and documentation as requested in a timely manner.
- Attention to detail for accurate and professional material for development and programming a must.
