Position Details

Newport Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a 139-bed facility located in the heart of Amish country in Lancaster County. We are currently seeking an Activities Assistant to join our team of Healthcare Heroes! As the Activities Assistant, you will be responsible for facilitating group and individual activities such as exercise, trivia, games, and art.

Ideal Candidate

• Must enjoy working with and understand the needs of the elderly.
• Must have a positive and optimistic attitude to uplift residents' spirits.
• Encourage and assist residents in activities aligned with their interests.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to leave the facility for outings occasionally.
• Professional and respectful towards residents, considering their clinical levels.
• Previous experience with the geriatric population is preferred but training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
