Job summary

Albany Med Health System's Division of Nephrology at Albany Medical College is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Transplant Nephrologist to join its growing abdominal transplant program, combining transplant nephrology with general nephrology responsibilities.

This role offers inpatient transplant care, outpatient transplant clinics, and a collaborative environment with transplant surgery and multidisciplinary teams, along with an academic appointment and teaching opportunities.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent degree with board certification or eligibility in Nephrology.
• Fellowship training in Transplant Nephrology from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient transplant nephrology care and participate in multidisciplinary rounds.
• Manage immunosuppression and graft function in kidney transplant recipients.
• Contribute to outpatient transplant clinics including pre- and post-transplant evaluations and living donor assessments.
• Collaborate with transplant surgery, APPs, coordinators and pharmacists for comprehensive patient care.
• Engage in quality improvement and transplant program development initiatives.
