Job summary

Albany Medical College is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Transplant Nephrologist to join a growing abdominal transplant program within the Albany Med Health System. The role blends transplant nephrology with general nephrology in a collaborative academic environment.

The ideal candidate will participate in inpatient rounds, outpatient clinics, and organ offer discussions, with opportunities for teaching, research, and leadership in program development.

Qualifications

• Fellowship training in Transplant Nephrology from an accredited program.
• MD/DO or equivalent with board certification or eligibility in Nephrology.
• Academic experience or interest sufficient for Assistant/Associate Professor appointment.
• Eligibility for New York medical licensure.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient transplant care and multidisciplinary rounds.
• Outpatient transplant clinics including pre-transplant, donor evaluation, and post-transplant follow-up.
• Participation in organ offer review and recipient selection discussions.
• Engagement in quality improvement and program development initiatives.
