Albany Medical College’s Division of Nephrology seeks a board-certified or board-eligible Transplant Nephrologist to join its growing abdominal transplant program. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a multidisciplinary academic transplant team within a leading regional health system committed to clinical excellence, innovation, education, and continued program growth.

This role combines transplant nephrology with general nephrology responsibilities, with opportunities to help

Qualifications

• Fellowship training in Transplant Nephrology from an accredited program.
• MD/DO or equivalent degree with nephrology board certification or eligibility.
• Academic experience or interest suitable for Assistant/Associate Professor level.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient transplant care and multidisciplinary rounds.
• Immunosuppression management and graft function evaluation.
• Post‑transplant follow‑up and living donor evaluations.
• Outpatient transplant clinics including pre-transplant evaluations and post‑transplant follow‑ups.
• Participation in organ offer reviews and recipient selection discussions.
• Engagement in quality improvement and transplant program development.
