Albany Medical College, Division of Nephrology, seeks a board-certified or board-eligible Transplant Nephrologist to join its expanding abdominal transplant program. The role blends transplant nephrology with general nephrology in an academic medical center within the Albany Med Health System.

You'll participate in inpatient care, outpatient clinics, organ offer discussions, and quality improvement, with opportunities for teaching and program development in a collaborative, multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Fellowship training in transplant nephrology from an accredited program.
• MD/DO or equivalent with board certification or eligibility in nephrology.
• Clinical expertise in nephrology subspecialty care.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in New York.
• Academic experience or interest suitable for Assistant/Associate Professor.
• Strong communication and collaborative, team-oriented care.
• Commitment to education, quality improvement, and advancing transplant medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide transplant nephrology and general nephrology care in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Inpatient transplant care and multidisciplinary rounds participation.
• Outpatient transplant clinics including pre/post-transplant evaluations.
• Organ offer review and recipient selection discussions as volumes grow.
• Engage in quality improvement and transplant program development.
• Teaching and scholarly activity with residents, fellows, and staff.
