Job summary

Kiewit Power Delivery is seeking a Mid-Level Superintendent to lead field operations on high-voltage transmission and substation projects. You will oversee foremen and craft professionals, manage scheduling, safety, costs, and client satisfaction, leveraging the Early Contractor Involvement design-build approach.

Based in or near project sites, you will mentor junior superintendents, coordinate subcontractors, drive client engagement, and ensure timely turnover.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction experience, including 3+ years leading transmission or substation projects.
• Strong leadership of teams on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience with progressive design-build or ECI models is a plus.
• Excellent communication, planning, and negotiation skills.
• Self-starter with a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead field execution on high-voltage transmission and substation projects.
• Mentor and develop junior superintendents and foremen.
• Oversee subcontractor coordination and contract administration.
• Drive client engagement and represent Kiewit in planning and problem-solving meetings.
• Mentor and help to grow Jr. Superintendents.
• Develop a program to maintain good client relations involving staff on site.
• Initiate and attend supplementary and regular meeting with client for problem resolution and planning.
• Oversee and approve the monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections.
• Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover.
• Maintain daily diary for record-keeping purposes.
• Ensure that all performance evaluations and completed in a timely fashion for direct reports.
• Recommend, where appropriate, organizational, policy, and procedural or staff changes.
• Review and approve or reject promotions up to General Foremen.
