Job summary

Kiewit Power Delivery is seeking a Mid Level Superintendent to lead field execution on high-voltage transmission and substation projects. You will mentor foremen and craft professionals, oversee subcontractors, and drive safety, scheduling, cost control, and client satisfaction using an Early Contractor Involvement design-build approach.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role on transmission or substation projects.
• Proven ability to lead teams on complex, large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of progressive design-build or ECI models is a plus.
• Excellent communication, planning, and negotiation skills.
• Self-starter with a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead field execution on high-voltage transmission and substation projects
• Mentor and develop junior superintendents and foremen
• Oversee subcontractor coordination and contract administration
• Drive client engagement and represent Kiewit in planning and problem-solving meetings
• Mentor and help to grow Jr. Superintendents
• Develop a program to maintain good client relations involving staff on site
• Initiate and attend supplementary and regular meetings with client for problem resolution and planning
• Oversee and approve monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections
• Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover
• Maintain daily diary for record-keeping purposes
• Ensure that all performance evaluations are completed in a timely fashion for direct reports
• Recommend organizational, policy, and procedural or staff changes
• Review and approve or reject promotions up to General Foremen.
