Job summary

Kiewit Power Delivery seeks a Superintendent to lead field operations on high-voltage transmission and substation projects, employing the ECI model to shape outcomes from the earliest stages. You will supervise foremen and craft professionals, ensuring safety, scheduling, cost control, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role on transmission or substation projects.
• Proven ability to lead teams on complex, large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of progressive design-build or ECI models is a plus.
• Excellent communication, planning, and negotiation skills.
• Self-starter with a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead field execution on high-voltage transmission and substation projects.
• Mentor and develop junior superintendents and foremen.
• Oversee subcontractor coordination and contract administration.
• Drive client engagement and represent Kiewit in planning and problem-solving meetings.
• Mentor and help to grow Jr. Superintendents.
• Develop a program to maintain good client relations involving staff on site.
• Initiate and attend supplementary and regular meeting with client for problem resolution and planning.
• Oversee and approve the monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections.
• Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover.
• Maintain daily diary for record-keeping purposes.
• Ensure that all performance evaluations and completed in a timely fashion for direct reports.
• Recommend, where appropriate, organizational, policy, and procedural or staff changes.
• Review and approve or reject promotions up to General Foremen.
