Job summary

Kiewit Power Delivery is seeking a Mid Level Superintendent to lead field operations on high-voltage transmission and substation projects. You will supervise multiple foremen and craft professionals, ensure safety, schedule, cost control, and client satisfaction while applying the ECI design-build approach.

You will mentor junior staff, manage subcontractor coordination, and drive planning and problem solving with clients across diverse project sites in North America.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction experience
• 3+ years in a leadership role on transmission or substation projects
• Strong understanding of progressive design-build or ECI models is a plus
• Excellent communication, planning, and negotiation skills
• Self-starter with a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Lead field execution on high-voltage transmission and substation projects
• Mentor and develop junior superintendents and foremen
• Oversee subcontractor coordination and contract administration
• Drive client engagement and represent Kiewit in planning and problem-solving meetings
• Mentor and help to grow Jr. Superintendents
• Develop a program to maintain good client relations involving staff on site
• Initiate and attend meetings with client for problem resolution and planning
• Oversee and approve monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections
• Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover
• Maintain daily diary for record-keeping purposes
• Ensure evaluations for direct reports are completed timely
• Recommend organizational or policy changes
• Review and approve promotions up to General Foremen
