Job summary

Kiewit Power Delivery seeks a seasoned Superintendent to lead field execution on high-voltage transmission and substation projects. This role oversees multiple foremen and crafts professionals, guiding safety, scheduling, cost control, and client satisfaction across major initiatives.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with subcontractors, and engage clients to solve problems and optimize project delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role on transmission or substation projects.
• Proven ability to lead teams on complex, large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of progressive design-build or ECI models is a plus.
• Excellent communication, planning, and negotiation skills.
• Self-starter with a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead field execution on high-voltage transmission and substation projects.
• Mentor and develop junior superintendents and foremen.
• Oversee subcontractor coordination and contract administration.
• Drive client engagement and represent Kiewit in planning and problem-solving meetings.
• Mentor and help to grow Jr. Superintendents.
• Develop a program to maintain good client relations involving staff on site.
• Initiate and attend supplementary and regular meetings with client for problem resolution and planning.
• Oversee and approve monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections.
• Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover.
• Maintain daily diary for record-keeping purposes.
• Ensure that all performance evaluations and completed in a timely fashion for direct reports.
• Recommend organizational, policy, and procedural or staff changes.
