Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. seeks a Transmission Project Manager to join our team and lead a portfolio of transmission-focused engineering design projects.

The role expands toward client account management and business development within Westwood's power delivery group. The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of engineering design and/or management experience on transmission projects and can oversee project teams while coordinating with market representatives to drive growth and deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from ABET-accredited program in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering.
• 4+ years in power transmission design or project management.
• Ability to direct engineers and technicians while maintaining quality and reliability.
• Knowledge of overhead and underground transmission facilities and integration.
• Familiarity with industry standards (NESC, ASCE, IEEE).

Responsibilities

• Lead projects in the preparation of utility engineering designs, cost estimates, and customer billing.
• Manage the engineering and financial aspects of multiple projects ranging from 34.5kV to 500kV.
• Prepare scope and estimates for proposals and statements of qualifications to utility clients.
• Develop project work plans and budget projections to effectively deploy people on project.
• Review, interpret, and act upon business metrics including backlog, work in process, and revenue.
• Prepare, maintain and coordinate schedules of multiple concurrent projects.
• Develop and track milestones to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Manage and provide guidance and direction for professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
