Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. seeks a Transmission Project Manager to lead utility engineering design projects and support business development. You will manage a portfolio of transmission-focused projects, overseeing scope, budgets, and milestones while coordinating with clients and internal teams.

The role emphasizes strong technical leadership, reliability, and collaboration across departments to grow Westwood's transmission service group and market presence.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of engineering design and/or management experience on transmission projects.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Ability to independently direct a team of engineers & technicians while maintaining quality and reliability.
• Knowledge of overhead and underground transmission facilities and their integration into daily activities.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as NESC, ASCE, IEEE.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects in utility engineering designs, cost estimates, and customer billing.
• Manage multiple projects from 34.5kV to 500kV.
• Prepare scope and estimates for proposals and statements of qualifications for utility clients.
• Develop project work plans and budget projections to deploy staff effectively.
• Coordinate reviews of designs with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop milestones to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Collaborate with department management on policies reflecting best practices.
