Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Transmission Project Manager to join our team in advancing our power delivery business.

You will lead engineering design projects, manage budgets, and help develop client accounts across multiple transmission projects up to 500kV. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of transmission design or management experience and can guide engineers and technicians while ensuring quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• 4+ years of experience in Power Transmission Design
• Ability to independently direct a team of Engineers & Engineering Technicians
• Knowledge of overhead & underground transmission facilities and its integration
• Familiarity with NESC, ASCE, IEEE standards
• Understanding of industry design software
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project)

Responsibilities

• Lead projects in the preparation of utility engineering designs, cost estimates, and customer billing.
• Manage the engineering and financial aspects of multiple projects ranging from 34.5kV to 500kV.
• Prepare scope and estimates for proposals and statements of qualifications to utility clients.
• Develop project work plans and budget projections to effectively deploy people on project.
• Review, interpret, and act upon business metrics including backlog, work in process and account receivables.
• Prepare, maintain and coordinate schedules of multiple concurrent projects.
• Develop and track milestones to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Manage and provide guidance and direction for professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the department management to develop, evaluate, and implement new policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments and divisions on company-wide initiatives.
• Maintain great relationships with our existing clients and seek out opportunities with potential future clients.
