We are seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer in the Greater Denver, CO area to work REMOTE. The candidate will be a member of a dynamic team working in a fast-paced environment, solving challenging problems related to electric transmission.

The project associated with this position is currently in the proposal stage. We are actively seeking forward-thinking and enthusiastic individuals interested in exploring potential opportunities. The successful candidate will serve as an Engineer on electric transmission line design projects for extra high-voltage (EHV) overhead and underground systems for some of the largest utilities in the country. Responsibilities include applying NESC, ASCE, ACI, and other standards in the engineering and design of electrical overhead and underground systems, voltage conversion projects, new capacity projects, and infrastructure replacement projects. Additionally, the role involves performing engineering analyses, preparing bidding documents, drafting plans and specifications, and developing material procurement and construction documents. The position requires working with a multi-disciplinary Leidos team and interfacing with clients, project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management personnel.

Required Education & Experience:

  • B.S. degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 4 - 8 years of relevant experience in the design of electric utility transmission systems
  • PE certification is desired
  • Experience using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and TOWER
  • Experience with LPILE or MFAD
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
  • Proven communication skills with clients and project teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Potential for work in a client office and/or periodic travel
  • Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation, and GIS is a plus

Pay Range:

Pay Range: $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
