Our client is actively seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their team. This full-time, remote position involves approximately 50-60% travel across various project sites throughout the United States. The engineer will be responsible for overseeing engineering and technical aspects of projects, including planning, establishing criteria, project reviews, and implementation.

Job Summary

This role involves executing duties for the successful delivery of projects, focusing on planning, coordination, and ensuring project compliance and quality.

Essential Functions

1. Managing engineering projects from scheduling to monitoring.
2. Defining project parameters and responsibilities.
3. Supporting the construction manager during project implementation.
4. Performing quality control and reporting on project status.
5. Collaborating with project teams and senior engineers for efficiency and profitability.
6. Reviewing engineering tasks and implementing corrective actions.
7. Developing equipment specifications and project metrics.
8. Conducting quality inspections during construction.
9. Ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and policies.
10. Documenting lessons learned for organizational improvement.
11. Travel approximately 50% of the time.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of civil, mechanical, or electrical construction practices.
• Strong engineering principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera is desirable.
• Understanding of corporate policies for Capital Project Management.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in construction, manufacturing, or engineering.
• Skills in requirements analysis, project management, CAD/CAM, and process improvement.
• Excellent computer skills and communication abilities.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Ability to handle noise, temperature extremes, and physical tasks like lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions and around dust and chemicals.
• Wearing personal protective equipment as required.
