Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC in Alabama is seeking a Foreman to lead a crew in constructing and repairing electrical transmission lines. You will work on energized and de-energized systems and may travel to different job sites, including out-of-state locations, as needed.

The role emphasizes safety, requires CDL, five years of transmission experience, and the ability to supervise, coordinate pre-job briefings, and ensure quality and timely completion.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of recent transmission line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work for extended periods at different job locations, including out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Lead crew to construct and repair transmission systems with safety first.
• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair on energized and de-energised lines.
• Oversee project quality and meet completion deadlines.
• Install and repair poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Coach and train junior employees in safe procedures.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and other line equipment.
• Travel to various job sites, including out-of-state locations, as required.
• Work outdoors in extreme conditions and respond to outages or emergencies.
