Job summary

United Grid Solutions seeks a transmission line engineer to provide design, engineering, and technical support for a team focused on safe and cost-effective solutions. The role involves directing discipline work, managing schedules, and contributing to proposal development.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of electrical utility transmission line design experience (69kV+) and an ABET-accredited engineering degree.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
2+ years of electrical utility transmission line design experience at 69kV+.
Familiar with transmission line components, foundations, and materials.
Knowledge of NESC, ASCE, ACI, IEEE.
Ability to deliver complete design packages on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering guidance for problem solving and project work.
Plan, estimate, schedule, and monitor activities for transmission line projects.
Produce technical reports, calculations, and sketches accurately.
Improve engineering knowledge and performance on an ongoing basis.
Interact with customer engineers and maintain professional relationships.
Support proposal development and project cost estimating.
