Job summary
Leidos Inc. seeks a Transmission Line Engineer (Mid, Senior, & Lead Levels) to design the backbone of the nation's energy grid, from HV to EHV, with hybrid or remote options available.
You will design overhead and underground systems using PLS-CADD, manage routing, modeling, and client interfaces, and guide projects to construction-ready packages with strong communication and collaboration. Strong knowledge of NESC, ASCE, ACI, and related standards, plus PE or EIT preferred, will help drive
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required and prior relevant experience in design of electric utility transmission systems.
- Expert-level or working knowledge of PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
- Familiarity with NESC, ACI, AISC and ASCE codes.
- Ability to translate complex engineering concepts into clear project scopes and client presentations.
Responsibilities
- Design overhead and underground transmission systems in compliance with applicable standards.
- Lead projects from routing and engineering analysis to procurement and construction-ready packages.
- Apply advanced modeling (PLS-TOWER, LPILE, FAD) to solve site-specific challenges.
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams toward successful project delivery.
